Physiologie animale et systèmes d’élevage

Nos recherches ont pour but la conception de systèmes d'élevage durables, tant sur le plan socio-économique qu'environnemental. Cet objectif nécessite d'expliciter les mécanismes  biologiques, d'expérimenter et d'évaluer  des techniques et systèmes d'élevage. Les études menées dans PHASE se répartissent dans quatre champs thématiques : les ressources alimentaires des animaux ; l’adaptation des animaux ; la production animale ; les systèmes d’élevage.

Les chercheurs de PHASE sont compétents dans les principales disciplines suivantes : biologie de la reproduction et du développement, sciences des productions animales, nutrition, endocrinologie et métabolisme, sciences du comportement, neurosciences.

Une nouvelle enzyme de méthylation de l’ADN a été découverte chez la souris. Cette enzyme protège le génome des futurs spermatozoïdes contre l’effet délétère des transposons.
